We live in a world in which porn companies are more concerned about our privacy than major tech companies, just remember that.

Announced today, the purveyor of premium pornographic content, Pornhub, has launched a Virtual Privacy Network called VPNhub. In a time where internet users have valid concerns about privacy and throttling, it’s good to see that at least someone has our back. This time, it happens to be a porn company.

For those that need a refresh, a VPN extends a private network across one that is public, using encryption to protect the data and even allows users to say they are browsing from almost anywhere.

From Corey Price, VP of Pornhub,

Today, the Internet is rife with hackers, who are growing in number and sophistication, compromising people’s sensitive data. While browsing in incognito may keep users’ browsing history secret, truth is they’re still susceptible to prying eyes, especially when browsing on unsecured public Wi-Fi networks.

Here at Pornhub, with 90 million visitors a day, the vast majority of whom are using devices on the go, it’s especially important that we continue to ensure the privacy of our users and maintain their confidentiality. With the launch of VPNhub, users will have access to the world’s fastest VPN, with over 1000 servers in 15+ countries from which to choose. Now, whether they are perusing the Internet while traveling or from an untrusted network, they can do so without worry.

The service features unlimited bandwidth, meaning users using VPNhub will not have to worry about having their internet browsing slowed down due to an outside force. There will be a premium version, offering no ads and faster speeds, but the core package is completely free for everyone.

The service launched today on macOS, Windows, Google Play, and the App Store.
